S'utilitza principalment quan l'objecte no es pot crear en un sol pas com en la deserialització d'un objecte complex.
Avantatge del patró de disseny del constructor
Els principals avantatges de Builder Pattern són els següents:
- Proporciona una clara separació entre la construcció i la representació d'un objecte.
- Proporciona un millor control sobre el procés de construcció.
- Admet canviar la representació interna dels objectes.

Estem considerant un cas de negoci de pizza-hut on podem aconseguir diferents varietats de pizza i beguda freda.
Pizza pot ser una pizza vegetal o una pizza no vegetal de diversos tipus (com ara pizza de formatge, pizza de ceba, pizza masala, etc.) i serà de 4 mides, és a dir, petita, mitjana, gran, extragran.
Beguda freda pot ser de diversos tipus (com Pepsi, Coke, Dew, Sprite, Fanta, Maaza, Limca, Thums-up, etc.) i serà de 3 mides petita, mitjana, gran.
